Derby People's Assembly

The People’s Assembly in London on June 22nd is going to be a huge expression of opposition to “austerity” and privatisation involving all the main Trade Unions, local Trades Union Councils, local and national anti-cuts groups, campaign groups focused on NHS, Education, Housing, the People’s Charter, Coalition of Resistance etc

The local Trades Union Council is in full support of the Assembly, and wants to bring together all those in Derby, not just trade union members who want to find out more and get involved.

There will be a meeting to prepare for the Assembly on Monday June 3rd 7.30pm – 9pm. It will be at the Derby City Council House in Corporation Street. We need to know how many people will be there in order to book the right room – so please contact Moz on 07889 274723 by May 26th to book a place.

A member of the People’s Assembly national steering group will open up with a short description of the background to the Assembly, how it’s shaping up, its aims, priorities etc. Then it will be open to all to have your say about how things should develop at national and local level.
