Budget Day protest, Nottingham

We can't let the most vicious cuts budget in 30 years pass in silence in Nottingham. George Osborne plans to strip more than £12 billion out of the welfare budget while the biggest companies on the globe pay little or no tax to trade in the UK. Think of Boots, making lay offs in our city, or Vodafone. Both companies have avoided paying billions while the government makes the poorest in our society pay.

Join us for a raucous protest in the city centre to show we won't be silent as the Tories wreck lives. Bring your pots and pans, whistles and drums and lets make sure the Tories know what's in store for them over the next five years. Use the Facebook event to invite people and show support. We'll have a leaflet and poster ready soon. Let's make this a big protest!
