The Nottingham Women's Conference 2014, (part of Nottingham's month long women's festival), has five themes: Patriarchy, Male Violence Against Women and Girls, Women’s Health, Women Fight Back and Feminist Mothering. This a two day event but you only need to book tickets for day one as the second day is FREE. Costs vary, mor info on the Eventbrite site where you can also buy tickets.
Day One: A range of talks plus Q&A, and interactive workshops. We want this year's conference to be as inclusive as possible so expect to hear discussions about issues of race, gender, sexual orientation, health and more. Day Two 12pm to 4pm (optional): Join us, (if you are able), on day two, where we will offer a range of workshops and drop-in sessions for you to find out about a number of local and national groups and capaigns you can get involved with. You will also be able to get advice about starting your own. Day two will be held at the Nottingham Women's Centre, 30 Chaucer Street, Nottingham, NG1 5LP. No ticket required.
Both days will be followed by social events (optional).
